Little Greene Factory visit Sat/10/2016
Stan and I were invited to a factory to visit where the Little Greene paint is manufactured in Snowdonia North Wales.
After a 3 hour journey we arrived at the Quay Hotel in Deganwy, North Wales and meet up with other stockists. After a welcome coffee and light lunch we boarded a coach to take us on the 30 minute drive to the factory which nestles in the beautiful Snowdonia countryside.
Everyone employed at Little Greene made us so welcome and were so informative and friendly. We were split into 2 groups and spent the afternoon learning the process of getting the paint mixed and into the tins. Also the Bio Chemist, Shaun, was on hand to take us through what goes into the paint (and what makes it so much better than their competitors)
Back to the hotel, which was on an estuary. Lovely views and a beautiful sunset! We changed and went down to meet everyone for drinks before dinner. All the members of Little Greene were like a big family. Most had been with the company for most of their working life.
Stan and I were tickled with our place setting, which was a Little Greene paint tin with our names on! Lovely food and wine and good conversation followed.
The next day we learnt about the marketing, advertising and PR from David Mottershead the MD, Ruth his daughter, who is Marketing Director as well as the Manager of the Paris Store, which looks amazing. They also have a store in Holland and London which we recently popped into!
We came away feeling enthusiastic and confident that Little Greene paint is a great product, made in the UK by people who care about the brand and we are very proud to be Warwickshire’s stockists of this great British Brand.return to blog list
